This versatile camping mat originally issued for French army ground forces as a special mattress for camping folding beds.

Outer is made of good quality medium weight canvas; inner is a soft 100% cotton fill. Made in France.

The mat has 8 webbing straps so the mat can be tied onto a camping bed, rolled up and secured or bundled together with others.

It can be used as a ground mat when going to the beach or camping. Other uses include being rolled up and used as a camping pillow or as a comfortable seat cushion.
